

We have put together a 'Terms of Service' and overview and have posted this to the meetup site, the forums and have pasted this information below.
Our goal is always to accommodate any special requests to meet the needs of group members; however with such a large group, there will always be certain aspects that are not optimal for everyone. Here are some simple rules and an overview of the group.
Mission Statement
The goal of the Boston Video Production Discussion Group (BVPDG) is to foster informative and collaborative communication across individuals with a range of skills and interests in video production.
A Few Simple Rules
1.Please respect everyone.
2.Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
3.Be polite in your posts and emails.
4.We have a Zero tolerance policy for any insulting language and anything akin to harassment! You have been warned and will be banned!
5.Please Participate! There are no stupid or silly questions other then those never asked.
Meeting days and times
The main meeting of the group is currently held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at the Uno Chicago Grill in Porter Square Cambridge.

What happens at the meetings?
These meetings take the form of general introductions and roundtable discussions among members. Occasionally, we will arrange for a presentation on a topic of interest to the group.
Mailing lists and NEW forums
Our goal is to send as few emails to the overall list as possible.
The http://meetup.com list is for meeting announcements only not for general discussion anymore.
We plan to send out one meeting announcement a week in advance, and a reminder a couple of days in advance of the meeting.
If there are other announcements that members request us to send to the list, we will be happy to put those announcements in with the regular group announcements at those times.

NEW Group Forums and Blog
In addition to the regular meeting and meeting list, the group has two additional outlets for communication & collaboration.

This forum is geared towards general communication, learning, group discussions and should be the first stop for group members.
This is a central point for updates, topics of interest and the place to network with each other and discuss projects.

The Group Blog

The group blog which is used to post anything of general interest to the group, including announcements about upcoming events, etc.
Other Meetings
In addition to the regular main meetings, it is possible that we will schedule adjunct meetings.
For example, there is some interest in attending the Coolidge Corner Open Screen (which occurs once a month). This sort of adjunct meeting will be organized through the blog and forum (and only noted in the announcement emails as part of the regular announcement schedule).
